After the first attempt 100 years ago by Albert Mummery to ascend Nanga Parbat in 1895 and the first ascent in 1953 starring Hermann Buhl, Alex Txikon with Ali Sadpara and Simone Moro managed to reach the top of Nanga Parbat in 2016 in winter, marking a milestone in mountaineering history
