Doychin Boyanov (Bulgaria), alpinist, lecturer at the National Sports Academy – Presentation: “The History of Ascents of Vihren Peak”

Doychin Boyanov, born on June 1, 1976, in Sofia, is a renowned mountaineer and explorer with a wealth of experience in high-altitude climbing. Since 2006, he has been a regular doctoral student and assistant in the Department of Tourism, Climbing, and Orienteering at the National Sports Academy. He has been a member of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Climbing and Mountaineering Federation since 2002 and is the founder of the sports club “Vertical World.” In 2012, he earned his doctorate from the National Sports Academy and is also a member of the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute.

Doychin’s remarkable climbing achievements include: Elbrus (5642 m), Broad Peak (8047 m), Pakistan – up to 7300 m, and Damavand (5671 m),Lenin Peak (7134 m), Everest (8848 m), China (Tibet) – without oxygen,K2 (8611 m), Pakistan – up to 8150 m., Nanga Parbat (8125 m), Pakistan, and Hidden Peak (8068 m), Pakistan – up to 6500 m.

Doychin’s achievements have inspired many in the mountaineering community, and he is well-respected for his contributions to the field.
