A Tale of an Ambitious Adventure in the Heart of the Indian Himalayas. The journey of Bulgarian alpinists Aleksandar Shakrachki, Dilyan Hristov, and Viktor Ivanov unfolds among the towering granite giants of the region — Shivling (6,534 m), Bhagirathi II (6,512 m), and Meru. In this realm of legends, the three undertake challenging and perilous climbs in pure alpine style.
In an area steeped in history, religion, and mysticism, the Bulgarian climbers leave their mark — a new climbing route above Gangotri, spanning six pitches, graded VII+, A2. After weeks of trials and struggle against altitude, weather, and their own limits, they stand on the brink of one of their greatest dreams — the ascent of the legendary Shivling Peak. Yet, only a hundred meters below the summit, they are forced to turn back. On their descent, they come face to face with an avalanche triggered by the collapse of an ice wall.
This is a story about friendship, the boundaries of human endurance, and the profound meaning of our presence in the mountains — where dreams meet reality.
