It's dawn on October 16, 1944. Aurora Vuillerminaz, known as the partisan Lola, bids farewell to her beloved mountains with a final glance and resolves not to reveal a single name to the fascist soldiers who have captured her. Lola recounts her last journey—a story of courage, beauty, and remembrance. Interweaving archival photographs, interviews and animation, the film retraces the places of Lola’s mission, among the peaks that shaped it, and, eighty years later, asks what it means to resist today.
