The film captures the historic ascent of Peak Communism (now Peak Ismoil Somoni, 7,495 m high, in the Pamir Mountains) by Bulgarian mountaineers. The ascent was accomplished on July 30, 1972, by Avram Avramov, Encho Petkov, Kancho Dolapchiev, and Ognyan Baldzhiyski.
